Today, JoomlaGeek would like to announce the release of Geek Facebook Chatbot version 2.7.0. The new version supports a feature that enables support agents that can stop and resume Chatbot in current conversation with commands.

This is a really useful feature since it enables both Support Agent (Facebook Page Administrators / Moderators) and Chatbot to participate in a conversation with customer but without sending conflict messages. To be more specific, in some cases, support agent wants to join a conversation to directly answer to customer’s questions, so he can command Chatbot to stop working for a while (30 minutes, 1 hour, ..). After completing a conversation with customer, support agent can pass control of the conversation to Chatbot. This feature can be used in many ways to enrich customer Messenger experience.

Here's the list of commands you can use on Messenger and their descriptions:

Command Description
/botstop Stop Chatbot from sending message in the current conversation.
/botresume Allows Chatbot to continue sending message in the current conversation.

Page Admin can stop and resume Chatbot with commands.
